Was Stonehenge a Time Measurement

Hour by hour, day by day, men looked at the sky watching and studying the sun, the moon, the stars traveling through the sky.  Was stonehenge in England built by men who wanted to measure the sun's movements, the moon's movements to accurately measure the movement of the sun and moon?  Instead of a sun-dial, man could put the measurement of time into a clock, a watch, a calendar of months, a year.  The patience it must have taken to study the movements of the sun and moon through the sky measure how long a day would be and fit that measurement into twelves for a time piece to measure the length of a day.  Each twelve would represent one hour of a day.  Make that measurement so the full day would be twenty-four hours, the p.m. twelves of the time piece would represent night time when the moon and stars were out.  The a.m. twelves of the time piece would represent day-time when the sun was out and this timepiece measured a full 24 hour day that came about from men studying the sun, moon, and stars.

Concord Grapes

I was taking a walk on a sunny September day.  The property was originally owned by the Bushnell family, maybe during the Colonial days.  As I walked, I came upon land that, thankfully, has not been disturbed.  The trees are still there, and overgrown brush and thickets, but there was a large grape vine, it grew along the side a tree and I took a close look and there were many clusters of red grapes.  I was sure when I saw the cluster of grapes, these were planted many years ago when the Bushnell family may have had a vineyard on this property they owned.  I was filled with surprise, that these grapes had survived many years.  These were the vines still filled with clusters of grapes the gentlemen and ladies cared for and while in there summertime day-dresses, in their hands fans to cool themselves or a delicate umbrella to shade themselves from the sun, would meander through the vineyards and later have a glass of wine on their porch and enjoy the labors of their hard work.

THE EARTH HAS CHEMICALS

Our Earth contains many chemicals and minerals.  To give you an example;  The ashes from a volcanic eruption contains chemicals that gives the area where the ash fell the ability to grow a more abundant grassy or forest area.  The compounds in the volcanic ash is similar to the household garden type of powder you may apply to you garden to help your garden grow better.   In the layers of our planet, Earth, are contained many different types of chemicals and minerals that contribute to the working of our planet.  Uranium is one of these chemicals.  In 1896, French scientist Henri Becquerel, accidentally discovered a strange phenomenon.  From a book, Chemistry Make Simple, by John T. Moore, it states that, by placing a sample of a mineral called pitchblende, he placed akey on top of a photographic plate.  When Becquerel later developed the plate, he found he had a photo of the key, thence, radioactivity.  Currently, uranium is being mined for use in making nuclear bombs in Iran and in Algeria.  I, for one, have the opinion that Iran should not be able to mine uranium.  The only reason they are mining Uranium is for destruction of our Earth.  What part does uranium play in our Earth's structure?  Perhaps an important part and the over mining of important chemicals and minerals, such as uranium, that plays a part in the health of our trees and forests, could be hazardous to our conservations efforts.
